The Fort Worth City Council approved closure dates on three road projects in Northeast Fort Worth.

During the March 11 meeting, two projects were approved in District 4 and another in District 10.

The overview

Both of the road projects in District 4 have a tie into Ray White Road.

A temporary closure is scheduled for Mirage Drive between Ray White Road and Bowman Drive from April 1 to July 25, according to city documents.

The city will be working on a storm drain, roadway reconstruction and new roundabout improvements. It is part of a $22 million project to widen Ray White Road, according to the city's website.

The other closure is on Ray White Road near the roundabout on Park Vista Boulevard. That road work will cause a detour from May 27 to Aug. 28, according to city documents. This work is also part of the $22 million project.

What else?

In District 10, the temporary closure of Old Denton Road between Westport Parkway and Day Road has been extended.

During the Jan. 13 meeting, council approved a closure through March 25 but it will now be until June 30 due to redesign and schedule changes, according to city documents.

Frisco-based F.A. Peinado Construction is doing the repaving project that started May 20, 2024.
