Traffic signal improvements will be coming to an intersection near Kay Granger Elementary School in Fort Worth.

What happening?

A $2 million project at North Beach Street and Champions View Parkway will feature new pedestrian sidewalks and crosswalks, Americans with Disabilities Act-complaint ramps and accessible pedestrian signals, which will audibly announce whether to walk or don’t walk, according to city documents.

Champions View Parkway leads to Saratoga Springs Circle, which surrounds the Northwest ISD elementary school.

Currently, the intersection uses a four-way stop with turn lanes.

What else?

Funding for the project is from a $292 million 2014 bond program approved by Fort Worth voters. The project page said the lights and improvements should be completed by December 2025, but there has been no start date listed on the city website.
