The city of Fort Worth is expected to begin a road improvement project at the North Beach Street and Basswood Boulevard intersection in May.

Fort Worth City Council on March 2 approved a $1.5 million contract to upgrade traffic signals and lighting and complete paving work at the intersection. The funds for the project will come from the city's 2018 bond program.

Cost: $1,537,331
