Roadwork will necessitate a closure of Byron Nelson Boulevard, or Business 114, in Roanoke on March 9. The road closure will take place from Oak Street to Cannon Parkway starting at 4 a.m.

The road closure is necessary as crews complete a bridge deck pour over US 377. The road is expected to reopen by 8 a.m. that day. Drivers are asked to find alternate routes for the time being.

The operation is part of ongoing construction of a $30 million-plus Texas Department of Transportation project to overhaul a 1.12-mile portion of US 377. The project includes reconstruction and widening of the highway from a two-lane rural road to a four-lane, divided roadway with raised medians and sidewalks, according to TxDOT.
