Drivers in Roanoke will have to find an alternative route Jan. 29 and Feb. 1 as construction on US 377 continues near Byron Nelson Boulevard, or Business 114.

Starting at 7 p.m. Jan. 29, Byron Nelson will be closed overnight for the installation of a bridge beam. Work is expected to be completed around 5 a.m. Jan. 30. Drivers should avoid the area or allow extra time for a detour, according to a city of Roanoke news release.

From 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 1, Byron Nelson will be reduced to one lane. Flag personnel will be directing traffic at this time, and drivers should allow extra time if traveling in the area.

The affected portion of US 377 in Roanoke is currently undergoing construction as part of a widening project by the Texas Department of Transportation. The project is expected to be completed by late 2023.
