The Texas Department of Transportation has announced the latest scheduled road closure in relation to Hwy. 377 construction in the city of Roanoke.

According to TxDOT, Business 114, or Byron Nelson Boulevard, will fully close in both directions Nov. 9-17. The closure is related to ongoing work at the Hwy. 377 bridge. Crews in place are currently lowering the grade of the roadway.

“TxDOT asks drivers to remain aware in the work zone,” the agency said in a statement. “For more information about this roadwork and other closers please visit www.drivetexas.org.”

The ongoing overhaul of Hwy. 377 will reconstruct and widen the roadway from a two-lane rural road into a four-lane, divided highway with raised medians and upgraded sidewalks.

The project also includes the installation of additional left turn lanes and traffic signals at a number of intersections within the project limits.

According to TxDOT, the $33.7 million project is on track for completion by late 2023.
