Due to continued work on Hwy. 377 in Roanoke, the Texas Department of Transportation will temporarily close Byron Nelson Boulevard, or Business 114, in both directions.

The temporary closure will stretch from North Oak Street to Cannon Parkway on Byron Nelson beginning Aug. 26 at 9 p.m.

According to TxDOT, the closure will end by 5 a.m. the following morning, and road crews will be in place to direct traffic to an alternate route.

The closure is part of a $33.7 million overhaul of Hwy. 377, which will reconstruct and widen the roadway from a two-lane rural road to a four-lane divided highway with raised medians and sidewalks.

The project will include additional left-turn lanes and traffic signals at a number of intersections.

The estimated time for completion of the project is late 2023, according to TxDOT.
