Infrastructure improvements planned on Basswood Boulevard, Kroger Drive in northeast Fort Worth

Phase A of the project will include constructing a protected right-turn lane and an additional left-turn lane at the eastbound turn lanes at Basswood Boulevard and US 377 in northeast Fort Worth. Additional intersection improvements at Kroger Drive and US 377 will include adding dual left-turn lanes and one right-turn lane at the intersection’s eastbound lanes. The westbound lanes will include one through lane and one left-turn lane. The eastbound and westbound lanes will be divided by a median.

Phase B of the project will resurface Kroger Drive between Ray White Road and US 377. Work will also include re-striping the road as a four-lane undivided arterial and adding a 10-foot shared bicycle and pedestrian path along the south side of Kroger Drive. Intersection improvements are also planned at Kroger Drive and West Park Vista Circle and the Kroger Distribution Center.

Timeline: October 2020-February 2021 (Phase A), May 2020-December 2021 (Phase B)

Cost: $10.15 million

Funding source: city of Fort Worth 2018 street and mobility improvements bond
