After rusting issues and deficiencies, the indoor pool slide at the Keller Pointe Recreation and Aquatic Center will be replaced.

Keller City Council approved the $286,000 replacement at the recreation center on Rufe Snow Drive at an Oct. 1 council meeting.

The slide will have the same structure as the current slide. The replacement will be done by the slide’s original manufacturer, Splashtacular, a U.S. water slide manufacturer, which a Splashtown official said will reduce liability as compared to a new manufacturer.

The replacement will come from the General Government Capital Improvement Project Fund, including funding from The Keller Pointe Recreation and Aquatic Center Fund.
