The Keller Farmers Market will add five additional weekends this season and will have an earlier-than-normal opening in 2023.

The City Council approved the additional market dates for the first three weekends of November and then the first two weekends in December. The last of those will be for the Christmas Market event Dec. 10. The markets are held at 400 Bear Creek Parkway, inside Bear Creek Park, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Sheri Almond, executive director of the farmers market, noted the participation in the weekly event has grown to more than 130 vendors.

Next year, Almond said the Keller Farmers Market is planning on an opening date of March 4 instead of the usual opening set for the first weekend in May.

The nonprofit Keller Farmers Market has a goal of affecting the community’s health and well-being, according to its website.
