A 41,550-square-foot building on vacant land is planned to be constructed for Penguin Patch at 721 Chisholm Trail in Keller that would include office space, warehouse space and an assembly area.

The company assembles kits containing holiday gifts and sells them to schools to be used as fundraisers or service projects, according to information presented at the Aug. 2 Keller City Council meeting.

Council members voted 7-0 to approve a specific use permit allowing the business to build on land zoned commercial with a tech/flex overlay. That overlay calls for “architectural standards that are reflective of Class A office space, unifying landscape elements and environmental stewardship,” according to city documents. A final site plan for the business will go before Keller City Council for approval at a future date.

Penguin Patch would be moving its operations from 3553 Loddick Lane in northeast Fort Worth once the new building is completed. A timeframe for the move has not been determined. 1-888-577-2824. https://penguinpatch.com
