An Outback Steakhouse location opened Jan. 31 at 9701 North Freeway in Fort Worth, according to a press release from the restaurant. As part of Outback Steakhouse’s community partnership program, up to $5,000 of the proceeds from the opening day sales benefitted Christ’s Haven for Children, a nonprofit that helps children and teens who have faced traumatic circumstances.

“We are looking forward to joining the Fort Worth community and welcoming new members to the Outback family with the opening of our newest restaurant,” Travis Stevenson, proprietor of the Fort Worth restaurant, said in the release. “We are excited to give back to our community by partnering with Christ’s Haven for Children.”

The new restaurant added 108 new positions—such as hosts, servers and kitchen staff—to the community, the release states. Outback Steakhouse is best known for its steaks, chicken and seafood, but it also offers salads, soups and sides. 817-380-2419. https://locations.outback.com.
