Medical City Alliance opened the Medical City Surgery Center Alliance on the hospital’s campus March 29.

According to a press release from Medical City Healthcare, the new surgery center offers outpatient care for patients of all ages. The center specializes in bariatrics, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, spine, ear, nose and throat.

“As the north Fort Worth/Alliance community continues to grow at a record pace, this advanced outpatient facility will provide our community with the latest in surgical technology and expert care,” said Dr. John S. Badylak, orthopedic surgeon at Medical City Surgery Center Alliance, in the press release.

Specifically, the center is 18,630 square feet and includes four operating rooms, two procedure rooms, two private recovery rooms, a separate pediatric recovery area, a “spacious” waiting area and modern technology to support advanced procedures, the release states.

“The new facility features an environmentally conscious design and leading-edge surgical technology in a spacious, modern and comfortable setting,” according to the release.

The new Medical City Surgery Center Alliance comes as part of Medical City Healthcare’s over $1.1 billion capital investment initiative across the Medical City Healthcare system, the release states.

The investments include expanding and improving existing hospitals, new trauma services, oncology, behavioral health care, upgraded technology, and purchasing and constructing new Medical City facilities, according to the release.

Medical City Surgery Center Alliance is located on the Medical City Alliance campus, 3101 N. Tarrant Parkway, Fort Worth, the release states. Its operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The opening of this facility is another example of the commitment Medical City Healthcare has made to patient safety, convenience and compassionate care,” Badylak said in the release.
