The details
The development will be generally located on US 377 between Bobcat Boulevard and Marshall Creek Road and include 1.28 acres, per city documents. The site plan shows that 4,000 square feet will be used for retail, 3,200 square feet will be dedicated to medical uses and 3,012 square feet will be restaurant space.
The entire site has 57 parking spaces, which meets the city’s requirements, according to city documents.
City officials will meet with the developer to discuss when construction will start and how long it will take, Roanoke Development Services Administrator JR Hames said.

Roanoke officials issued a nearly $25 million certificate of obligations bond for the construction of the parking garage on US 377 and Main Street, and new utility lines, according to city documents.
Construction for the parking garage is expected to cost $22 million, and the new sewer lines are anticipated to cost $1.7 million, Community Impact previously reported.
The new water and sanitary sewer lines will connect from the east side to the west side of US 377, Director of Public Works Shawn Wilkinson said.
The bonds are scheduled to be paid off by August 2050 with an option for early redemption in August 2035, per city documents.
