The Fort Worth Police Department boundaries have changed in northeast Fort Worth.

According to a news release, the beat boundaries were redrawn throughout the city and went into effect last month to balance resources and meet population trends.

The specific

The news release cites the growth in the northwest area of Fort Worth, where new homes and apartments are being constructed, as an area with new beats added. In other areas of the city, the beats stayed the same.

However, the news release states the areas may have a different Neighborhood Patrol Officer, or NPO, then before the changes.
