During the June 24 Fort Worth City Council meeting, council members approved for a Fort Worth church to be annexed into the city limits.

The details

Alliance Community Fellowship is located on a 14.9-acre property, a half mile west of the I-35W/Golden Triangle Boulevard intersection. According to city documents, the church wanted to annex to get city water and sewer since it is currently in Fort Worth's extraterritorial jurisdiction. It will now be in Council District 10.

The church requested a zoning for community facilities for its multi-building campus and a 0.927-acre part owned by TerraPact Wireless defaulted to agricultural zoning for a cell phone tower on the property, according to city documents.

The church, located at 2185 Golden Heights Road, has been in this spot for 12 years and was founded 20 years ago, according to city documents.

Also of note

A section of Harmon Road is closed through Feb. 28, 2026.

The temporary closure will run between Golden Triangle Boulevard and Keller Hicks Road, which is the border of Fort Worth and Haslet. According to city documents, the work will include new drainage, new illumination, traffic signals, water and paving improvements.

The intersection of Harmon Road and Golden Triangle Boulevard is located at the border of Council Districts 4 and 10.
