The cost of the new Fort Worth City Hall has changed.

During the Jan. 28 council meeting, an amended contract for $2.2 million with Linbeck Group was approved for renovations on floors 16 and 17 and associated site work at 100 Fort Worth Trail.

According to city documents, funds transferred as part of this amendment are in the approved project budget and will not increase the total project budget.

The background


The total cost for the construction cost is now $139.2 million and the total project cost is $226.5 million.

The city announced plans to purchase the former Pier 1 headquarters in Dec. 2020. The project is funded by tax notes 2021A, 2021B, 2022, APRA funds and 2023 certification of obligation bonds, according to court documents.
