Fort Worth residents will have the opportunity to work together during the Cowtown Great American Cleanup on March 23.

Hosted by Keep Fort Worth Beautiful, the Cowtown Great American Cleanup is the largest annual litter cleanup and beautification event in Fort Worth, according to a city news release.

The details

Volunteers from groups across the city including churches, schools and businesses will have the opportunity to help clean up trash across the city. According to an event website, an average of 5,000 volunteers collect an average of 140,000 pounds of trash each year. In 2023, volunteers removed more than 174,000 pounds of litter from the city.

According to the news release, volunteers will be provided with trash bags and gloves. The first 4,500 volunteers to register will receive a free T-shirt, while supplies last.

According to the news release, the event hours are 8-11 a.m. Following the cleanup, all volunteers are invited to attend Earth Party at Sycamore Park, 2400 E. Vickery Blvd. in Fort Worth.

An event website states that volunteers will be treated to food and drinks, live music and entertainment, animal adoptions, exhibitor promotions and the annual “Trashion Fashion Show” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
