According to a city of Fort Worth news release, this project will expand the current two lanes to a four-lane divided road with a median.
Additional improvements include:
- Improved drainage
- Streetlights
- 10-foot shared-use sidewalks
A closer look
The news release states that this is the second phase of a two-part traffic improvement project valued at $9.2 million. Improvements made in Phase 1 included a new traffic signal and left-turn lanes along Keller Haslet Road.
According to the news release, the design plans for Phase 2 are 100% complete, and construction bids are underway.
City documents state that no right-of-way acquisitions or franchise utility relocations are necessary in this project. The project is slated to be completed by summer 2025.
