The city of Fort Worth will begin the new year with a new procurement platform.

The details

According to a news release, Fort Worth’s purchasing department will start using Bonfire as its online procurement platform in January. All city of Fort Worth vendors, as well as any vendors interested in doing business with the city, will need to register in Bonfire Interactive.

The news release stated the city will stop its process of receiving hard copies of bid responses on Jan. 1. On or after that date, the city will begin advertising, collecting responses and awarding solicitations through Bonfire.

All procurements posted prior to Jan. 1 will follow the hard-copy process, the news release stated.
