A Safe Texas Town Hall to discuss the recent mass shooting in Uvalde is scheduled for June 9 in Fort Worth.

This event will be hosted by Democratic state Reps. Nicole Collier, Ramon Romero and Chris Turner. The districts for these three lawmakers include parts of Fort Worth and Arlington.

Safe Texas Town Hall is occurring not only to discuss the events of Uvalde, but also to channel energy into action, according to the Facebook post on Collier’s page. On May 24, 19 children and two teachers were killed in a school shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Safe Texas Town Hall will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. June 9 at Tarrant County College South Campus-SREC Recital Hall, 5301 Campus Drive in Fort Worth. Anyone interested in attending can RSVP as well as submit questions at https://forms.gle/SNNmvpCiasthoYvy9.

This event will also be streamed on Facebook Live through the event page, according to Dalecia Bell, the district director for Texas House of Representatives District 95.

This event is free to attend.
