Billy Bob’s Texas will host the annual award show, where Cody Canada will be given the Trailblazer Award for his contributions to Texas country music and the red dirt genre, according to a news release. The Moe Bandy Icon Award will also given out for the first time to the namesake. Canada and his band, The Departed, will be one of many bands performing.

The town will remember veterans during an event at Veterans Memorial at Independence Park West during a ceremony. City Council member Karl Monger, a retired U.S. Army major, will speak at the event. Commemorative bricks that will be installed at Veterans Memorial will be available for purchase with personalized messages to honor veterans.

The Trophy Club Parks and Recreation Department will install a drop box to send letters to Santa at the North Pole ahead of Thanksgiving. Parents are asked to have a return address listed on the letter, and children are asked to write about themselves and what they want for Christmas.
