Celebrate the 15th Annual National Day of the American Cowboy

Visit the Fort Worth Stockyards to celebrate the heritage of cowboys and cowgirls in America. The all-day affair will feature a parade, a rodeo, live music and much more. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Some events are ticketed. Fort Worth Stockyards, 131 E. Exchange Ave., Fort Worth.

Have a hot dog at the Roanoke Farmers Market

Farmers market attendees will receive a free hot dog in honor of National Hot Dog Day. Guitarist Ryan Fox will perform. Every week, the Roanoke Farmers Market welcomes vendors offering a variety of fresh foods and features an early-morning yoga class from 8:30-9:30 a.m. 8 a.m.-noon. Free to attend.
