Election day is May 4.
The debate is hosted by the Keller Republican Club, a city news release states, but it reminds people the elections are nonpartisan, and no candidate will have party affiliation next to his or her name. Greg Will, a candidate for Keller council, is an officer of the Keller Republican Club. The club's website shows two officers in the club—Armin Mizani and Ross McMullin—are Keller council members. Mizani is mayor.

Keller Republican Club Chair Paul Alvarado said council will discuss a number of topics, ranging from the city budget to property taxes to first responders. The school board will discuss fiscal topics, as well, but will also delve into issues unique to school governance, such as school vouchers.
For council, places 1 and 2 are up for election. Shannon Dubberly holds Place 1 and did not draw an opponent. Place 2, held by Sean Hicks, has drawn four candidates: Zane J. Kupper, Frank Roszell, Robert Slattery and Greg Will. Hicks is not running.
City staff have received confirmation that all four candidates for Place 2 plan to attend, a city news release states. Dubberly will share a few comments at the event.
Places 6 and 7 are up for election on the Keller ISD board, with incumbent and board President Charles Randklev facing Adrienne Sullivan. In Place 7, incumbent Heather Washington will face Dixie Davis and DaLana Barsanti. Sullivan and Davis will not participate in the debate, Alvarado said.
Alvarado said, as in years past, when a member of Keller Republican Club board is a candidate, that person is removed from all planning and communication regarding the debate.

The debate will be livestreamed and recorded so residents have the option to watch it on the city website, the city’s YouTube channel or local cable channels, the city news release states.
