Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker secured a second term by picking up nearly 70% of the votes.

The Tarrant County Election Administration released updated voting results at 11:08 p.m., and Parker received 69.40% of the votes with 29,319.

Alyson Kennedy, Jennifer Castillo, Adrian Devine Smith and Kenneth Bowens Jr. challenged Parker, who won a runoff to become mayor in 2021 against Deborah Peoples.

Castillo was second with 5,121 votes, or 12.12% of the vote, followed by Bowens Jr. with 3,684 votes, or 8.72% of the vote. Kennedy had 2,206 votes or 5.22% of the vote and Devine Smith had 1,915 votes, or 4.53%.


Local voters picked new council members for District 4 and District 10—a newly created district in northeast Fort Worth after redistricting in 2022. Fort Worth added two districts and now has 11.

In District 10, current council member Alan Blaylock—who represents District 4 currently—beat Brandon Robert Jones and won another term on council.

Blaylock had 69.47% of the votes, getting 3,147 votes. Jones had 1,383 votes, or 30.53% of the vote with 98.82% of the precincts reporting.

Blaylock’s current area will be represented by Charlie Lauersdorf.


In the race for the District 4 seat, Lauersdorf secured 2,644 votes, or 59.95%. Teresa Ramirez was second with 1,766 votes, or 40.05%.

The Tarrant County Election Administration released updated voting results at 8:29 p.m. and Parker has 70% of the votes with 21,156.

Alyson Kennedy, Jennifer Castillo, Adrian Devine Smith and Kenneth Bowens Jr. are all challenging Parker, who won a runoff to become mayor in 2021 against Deborah Peoples.

Castillo is second with 3,563 votes, or 11.79% of the vote, followed by Bowens Jr. with 2,605 votes, or 8.62% of the vote. Kennedy has 1,550 votes or 5.13% of the vote and Devine Smith has 1,347 votes, or 4.46%.

Local voters are also electing new council members for District 4 and District 10—a newly created district in northeast Fort Worth after redistricting in 2022. Fort Worth added two districts and now has 11.

In District 10, current council member Alan Blaylock—who represents District 4 currently—is ahead of Brandon Robert Jones.

Blaylock has 69.97% of the votes, getting 2,331 votes. Jones has 992 votes, or 30.03% of the vote with 51% of the precincts reporting.

Blaylock’s current area he represents will either go to Teresa Ramirez or Charlie Lauersdorf.

In the race for the District 4 seat, Lauersdorf leads with 1,770 votes, or 60.93%. Ramirez is second with 1,135 votes, or 39.07% with 69.23% of precincts turned in.
