With all precincts reporting, John Birt and Chris Coker will take up positions on the Keller ISD board of trustees.

In Place 4, which was left open by Chris Roof, Birt faced Haley Taylor Schlitz. In Place 5, Coker challenged incumbent Bev Dixon.

As of 9:15 a.m., Birt received 58.22% of the 14,285 votes cast in the Place 4 race, while Coker received 53.95% of the 14,283 ballots cast in the Place 5 race.

According to Tarrant County, 8.91% of the county's around 1.2 million voters cast ballots in the election.

Polls have closed for the Keller ISD general election, and early voting numbers are coming in with John Birt and Chris Coker ahead in their respective races.

In Place 4, which is left open by Chris Roof, John Birt is facing Haley Taylor Schlitz. In Place 5, Chris Coker is challenging incumbent Bev Dixon.

As of 8:41 p.m., Birt received 58.55% of the 10,248 votes cast in the Place 4 race, while Coker received 53.88% of the 10,277 ballots cast in the Place 5 race. According to Tarrant County, 6.49% of the county's more than 1.2 million residents cast ballots in the election.


Board members in the school district serve three-year staggered terms.

Dixon first assumed office in 2017.
