Two council members and the mayor are up for election this upcoming May in Trophy Club.

During the Jan. 10 council meeting, Town Secretary Anita Otterson provided updates on the May 6 election, noting important days along the way for the positions.

Mayor Alicia Fleury's first term is up, as well as Place 1 Council Member Greg Lamont—also the mayor pro tem—and Place 2 Council Member Jeff Beach. Fleury garnered 61% of the vote in the delayed 2020 elections that happened in November rather than May. She previously served a term as the Place 1 Council Member.

The first day to file to be on the ballot is Jan. 18, and the last day is Feb. 17. The final day for a write-in candidate to file a write-in candidacy is Feb. 21.

Political signs cannot be posted until Feb. 15. On Feb. 27, a drawing will be held for the order of names on the ballot.

Early voting will run from April 24-May 2, while mail-in ballots opened Jan. 1 and must be received by April 25. Campaign contributions and expenditures are due by 5 p.m. April 6.

Election day is May 6 with voting held at Town Hall, 1 Trophy Wood Drive, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
