Roanoke Mayor Scooter Gierisch elected to another three-year term

Roanoke Mayor Scooter Gierisch has been re-elected for another three-year term over challenger Moueed Rajabi, according to unofficial results from Denton County.


Gierisch has received over 90% of the votes. He was first elected to City Council in 1995 and served as mayor since 2005. Rajabi works as a U.S. government contractor.
