Northwest ISD students and staff returned to campus Aug. 13 for the first day of school for the 2025-26 school year.

Elementary, middle and high school students filed into one of the 35 campuses spread around 14 communities, including Fort Worth, Roanoke and Trophy Club.

The first day of school was also the debut of Justin Elementary School and Prairie View Elementary School, as well as unveiling the expansions and renovations to Northwest High School and Texan Arena.

“We want to celebrate that we won’t have to change rooms mid-year because of construction,” Northwest High School Principal Daryl Porter said during a prep rally. “We want to celebrate the fact that it is finally finished and we are onto the next step here at Northwest High School.”
