Northwest ISD will offer free meals to students that are in the free and reduced-price lunch program who rely on school meals during the school year.

The program, which will be offered at Love Elementary School and Chisholm Trail Middle School, is being offered to children 18 or younger, as well as students with disabilities who are ages 21 and younger, according to a district news release.

The news release states the program will be in service Monday through Friday, beginning May 28 and concluding June 30. Breakfast will be offered from 8 to 9 a.m., and lunch will be offered from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

According to the news release, the Summer Food Service Program is a U.S. Department of Agriculture nutrition program administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture.
