Keller ISD is now accepting applications for the free and reduced-price meal program for the upcoming school year.

While KISD officials said the application stays open throughout the year, they encourage families to complete the application before the start of school. Applications to the free and reduced-price meal program must be completed annually.

The details

According to a district news release, lunch costs for the 2024-25 school year are as follows:

• Breakfast is $1.20 for grades K-12. Families who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch will receive breakfast at no charge.
• Lunch is $2.95 for grades K-4 and $3.05 for grades 5-12. Families who qualify for reduced-price lunch will pay $0.40 per meal.

The news release states charges will be applied starting on the first day of school, which is Aug. 14. The application approval process can take 10 or more days depending on the volume of applications, so district officials are encouraging families to complete the application at their earliest convenience.

The application is available online, and paper applications are also available at each campus or in the child nutrition services office, located at 11300 Alta Vista Road in Fort Worth.
