Keller ISD officials have selected Kathleen Eckert and Alicia Morton to serve as the new principals of Central High School and Trinity Springs Middle School, respectively.

The details

According to a district news release, Eckert served as the principal at Hillwood Middle School from 2012-22. She is coming back to the district after serving as the director of compliance and policy at Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

In addition, the news release states Eckert has held teaching and administrative positions in the following districts:
  • Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD
  • Fort Worth ISD
  • Northwest ISD
Morton has served as the academic dean at Fossil Ridge High School since 2021, where she also served as an administrator since 2017, according to the news release. She began her educational career teaching math in Carroll ISD and later taught in Northwest ISD.

According to the news release, Eckert holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration and a Bachelor of Arts, both from the University of North Texas. Morton holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration from Lamar University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of North Texas.

Both women will begin their new roles in July.
