Northwest ISD middle school students and their families are invited to tour the district's four high school academy facilities in October. Academy nights will give an opportunity for interested students to visit with academy teachers and learn more about available programs.

According to a district news release, the Career and Technical Education department will host four events, and all of them will begin at 6 p.m.

The news release stated the academy night events are as follows:
  • Oct. 17: James M. Steele Early College High School, Roanoke
    • Cosmetology Academy
    • Early College High School
  • Oct. 23: Northwest High School, Justin
    • Creative Media Production Academy
    • STEM Academy
  • Oct. 24: V.R. Eaton Eaton High School, Haslet
    • Aviation and Aeronautics Academy
    • Business Management and Entrepreneurship Academy
  • Oct. 30: Byron Nelson High School, Trophy Club
    • Biomedical Sciences Academy
    • Culinary Arts and Hospitality Academy
In case you missed it

According to the news release, the Northwest ISD Cosmetology Academy at Steele ECHS is a two-year, blended program during a student's junior and senior years. Students may submit enrollment requests for the Cosmetology Academy in 10th grade.
