Several dates in October and November will alter student and staff schedules in Northwest ISD.

The dates include student holidays, staff flex time, and holidays for both students and staff.

According to the Northwest ISD website, October dates in question are as follows:
  • Oct. 13: end of the first quarter and early release for all students
  • Oct. 16: student holiday and teacher flex time
  • Oct. 17: beginning of the second quarter
Dates in November include time off for Thanksgiving and time for teacher professional development. According to the NISD website, these dates include:
  • Nov. 6: student and staff holiday
  • Nov. 7: student holiday and teacher professional learning day
  • Nov. 20-21: student holiday and teacher flex time
  • Nov. 22-24: student and staff holiday
