There are 20 local community centers in Fort Worth providing after-school programs for children this school year.

According to a news release, Fort Worth is offering after-school activities that are community-driven, expanded learning opportunities. These programs offer a balanced curriculum of academic support, cultural enrichment and recreation to support cognitive, social, physical and emotional outcomes, according to the news release.

According to the news release, the program is available for students ages 5-13. Sessions run Monday-Friday starting Aug. 21, from school dismissal to 6 p.m. Transportation is available at select sites. Snacks are served each day.
