Qualified residents of Keller ISD and Northwest ISD who wish to run for school board positions have the opportunity to file their applications, which started on Jan. 18. The deadline to file for a candidate application is Feb. 17.
In Keller ISD, Place 4 and Place 5 will be on the ballot. Place 4 is currently held by Chris Roof and Place 5 is currently held by Beverly Dixon. Board members serve three-year terms and elections are staggered, two places this year, three will be up in 2024 and two in 2025, according to the Keller ISD website. Three seats—Place 5, Place 6 and Place 7—will be on the May 6 ballot in Northwest ISD. Place 5 is currently held by Steve Sprowls, Place 6 is held by Lillian Rauch, and Place 7 is occupied by Jennifer Murphy. Board Members are elected at-large to three-year terms of office on a 2-2-3 rotating basis, according to the district website.
