The owners of Berry Best BBQ, located in North Richland Hills, has been rebranded as Lil JJ’s Smokehouse and will relocate the business to a spot along I-35, just west of Alliance Town Center, which was formerly occupied by Dickey’s Barbeque Pit.

The details

Owners John and Brandi Berry made the announcement on Facebook Jan. 26. They changed their restaurant name to Lil JJ’s Smokehouse is in honor of their son, who passed away in 2024.

The menu offers several barbeque staples such as brisket, sausage, ribs and chicken. Food can be ordered several different ways including:
  • Sandwiches
  • Dinner plates
  • Combo meals
  • By the pound
The menu also includes baked potatoes that can be topped with various barbeque meats and specialty items such as Frito pies, brisket mac and cheese and nachos topped with brisket.
