Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar is now open in Alliance Town Center in Fort Worth.

The restaurant offers craft cocktails and a farm-to-fork menu in a 9,000-square-foot building that can accommodate more than 350 guests, according to a news release.

The details

Whiskey Cake serves lunch, dinner and a weekend brunch, and has a whiskey wall with more than 250 whiskeys and spirits. The restaurant also serves drinks, such as wine, beer, classic cocktails and whiskey flights.

During a VIP event Sept. 27, guests sampled deviled eggs, goat cheese fondue, chicken and waffles, and charcuterie boards with meats, cheeses and grapes.

According to a news release, the menu also features rotisserie farm bird, the Tavern Burger, a bone-in pork chop and the business’s namesake dessert, a Whiskey Cake, which is a sticky toffee cake topped with spiced pecans and housemade vanilla whipped cream.

The backstory

Whiskey Cake was founded in Plano in 2010 and now has 11 locations across three states. Plans for the Fort Worth store were first announced in 2022.

“Whiskey Cake is all about breaking the mold of the traditional American tavern,” said Ben Woodring, vice president of operations for Whiskey Cake, in a news release. “We’re pushing boundaries with scratch-made dishes and creative craft cocktails that keep people coming back for more. The energy in our restaurants is electric, and we can’t wait to bring that vibe and a fresh new experience to the Fort Worth Alliance community.”
