The backstory

During their move from Reading, Pa., to Justin in June 2023, Rosa said she and her husband got the idea to open a restaurant that expressed their Dominican culture.

“I started making and advertising in the neighborhood page, sandwiches and finger foods, such as chimis, patacon, Cuban sandwiches and pica pollo, and we were blessed with immediate success,” Rosa said.

After moving their operations to a commercial ghost kitchen in North Richland Hills, Rosa said they wanted to find a place in the Justin or Roanoke area where there is a large, diverse population eager to experience their food and culture.

Rosa said many of her customers told her about The 206 food hall on Roanoke's Oak Street, so she and her husband met with the owners and signed a lease.

Quote of note

“We felt this was a great opportunity to become part of the unique dining scene in Roanoke and bring our distinctive Dominican flavors to the community,” Rosa said.
