The Keller Chick-fil-A will add an additional drive-thru lane.

The city council approved a special use permit during the Aug. 6 meeting.

The restaurant will redesign the parking lot for better traffic flow for two full lanes around the north, west and south side of the building, according to city documents. New canopies also will be installed over the ordering and delivery areas.

According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the estimated $2.65 million project will start Aug. 17 and has an estimated completion date of Oct. 26.
