With a desire to share his “farm to fork” philosophy, Craft & Vine owner and CEO of Newstream Hospitality Group Tim Nystrom’s goal is to take guests on a journey replete with innovative dishes that push culinary boundaries and redefine traditional flavors.

Quote of note

“[Tim’s] commitment to craft and quality is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, making Craft & Vine a true labor of love for the executive team and a standout destination for discerning diners,” General Manager Ruben Naranjo said.

One aspect Naranjo pointed out is that Nystrom personally curates all the cocktails, martinis and infused bourbons on the menu.

The details

Open since October 2017, Craft & Vine features a covered patio that offers views overlooking downtown Roanoke, a town designated by the Texas House of Representatives as "The Unique Dining Capital of Texas.”

“The smoked brisket lumpia and pork gyoza are popular starter dishes, and the craft charcuterie board showcases the restaurant's dedication to craftsmanship and quality ingredients,” Culinary Director Bill Trevino said.

Trevino added the craft burger made with akaushi beef, bacon jam, brie and black garlic aioli has become a favorite among burger lovers.

“The braised hoisin barbecue short rib is a tempting option for those seeking a satisfying main course,” Trevino said. “These mouthwatering dishes contribute to the restaurant's thriving reputation for culinary excellence.”

A closer look

Besides hosting a broad range of menu items to introduce guests to new flavor profiles, the chefs at Craft & Vine also embrace seasonal changes by refreshing the menu twice a year, Trevino said. To complement the food, handcrafted cocktails along with an extensive selection of more than 72 local beers and wines allow guests to pair their meals with their favorite drinks and ignite their taste buds.

Craft & Vine offers a range of special weekly events that can add to the dining experience, Naranjo said. Every Wednesday guests can enjoy specials on house-infused bourbons and handcrafted specialty martinis. Sunday brunch is being expanded in September by featuring an array of new dishes.

While Roanoke is the company’s first restaurant location, Nystrom and his team opened their second Craft & Vine location in June in Plano’s Shops at Legacy.

“[Our] restaurant [team] is keeping an eye on new trendy areas to potentially grow and offer [our] exceptional dining experience to even more guests in the future,” Nystrom said.
