Trophy Club council members approved Rosati’s Pizza’s request for a liquor license during the Feb. 14 meeting.
The motion passed with a vote of 5-2. Council members Dennis Sheridan and LuAnne Oldham voted against the approval.
Sheridan raised concerns regarding the specific location filed with the planning and zoning ordinance. He noted the suite number was not included in the ordinance, which could allow leniency regarding the applicant’s limits.
“Previously we’ve had conversations where once somebody gets a special-use permit, they change locations,” Sheridan said.
First opening in 1964, Rosati’s Pizza offers Chicago-style pizzas with recipes passed down from generations, per the company website. The restaurant offers 10 different pizza options, including vegetarian and build-you-own options. Other menu items include a calzone, pastas, wings, salads and a variety of appetizers. No phone number is available for the new location. https://myrosatis.com
