During the Sept. 30 Fort Worth City Council meeting, 19.55 acres were rezoned to high-density multifamily for a planned development with 204 townhomes—a mix of one- and two-bedroom—to be constructed near the Northwest ISD campus.
According to city documents, 2.67 acres were already in the Fort Worth city limits, while 16.88 acres were located in Fort Worth’s extraterritorial jurisdiction.
Zooming in
The change of zoning also included a new site plan, which was also approved. The original site plan was approved April 12, 2022, according to city documents. Modifications include changes to fencing locations, building orientations facing public rights-of-way, 10-foot yard setbacks, open space requirements and a reduction in the number of units per acre from 32 units to 24 units.
What else?
The development will offer a swimming pool, clubhouse, pickleball courts, pocket parks and dog park, according to city documents.
The townhomes will be located in council District 10, represented by Alan Blaylock.
“There's no opposition today; there was no opposition at zoning, no written opposition and no calls,” Blaylock said.
