The Fort Worth City Council approved a planned cottage community on 17.23 acres on Championship Parkway during the April 8 meeting.
The details
The developer, LIV Development, requested a zoning change from planned development to multifamily housing for the area. A site plan will have to be approved by council at a later date.
The plan calls for a 238-unit apartment complex and 55 build-for-rent houses that will be two or three bedrooms.
The apartment complex will vary in size from three to four stories, which requires a waiver. The height will be up to 48 feet, which is above the 36-feet maximum.
Another waiver is for 40% of open space, which varies from the city-regulated 45%. A city memo said the staff approved that change.
What else?
According to renderings provided to council, the development will have an amenity building, amenity green space, athletic building, dog park and dog spa.
