The community spread level of the COVID-19 virus remains “substantial,” according to Tarrant County Public Health officials, who, on June 11, confirmed an additional 225 cases of novel coronavirus in the county.

Since public health officials began keeping track of the spread of COVID-19 in Tarrant County, there have been 6,824 confirmed cases in the county, including 190 deaths and 2,938 patients who have recovered.

Of the nearly 7,000 cases countywide, TCPH numbers indicate that 37% of positive cases have been residents ages 25-44, and 33% of positive cases have been residents ages 45-64. Some 68% of coronavirus-related deaths in the county have been seniors age 65 or older.

Across the county, there are currently 1,886 available hospital beds and 422 available ventilators. Out of 4,009 occupied beds, a total of 206 are occupied by COVID-19 patients, according to TCPH.

At the local level, there have been a total of 3,508 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city of Fort Worth, including 114 deaths and 1,596 patients who have recovered. There are 28 confirmed cases in ZIP code 76177 and 118 confirmed cases in ZIP code 76244.


In addition, there are 114 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the city of Keller, including 13 deaths and 38 patients who have recovered. There are a total of 123 confirmed cases in ZIP code 76248.
