Trophy Club City Council unanimously approved spending $207,800 on mechanical components for the city’s community pool at the May 17 meeting.

According to city documents, Sunbelt Pools is the vendor. The mechanical components will be used for:
  • A youth “kiddie” pool (future plunge pool)
  • A future two-story slide tower
  • A competition pool
  • A splash pad
The backstory

According to city documents, council approved the purchase of all necessary components as part of the pool facility pump room renovation project Jan. 21. Funding for the project was allocated as part of the 2021 certificates of obligation bonds issued to the town. This project was presented to the council as part of a capital improvement project plan presented to council July 26, 2022.

According to city documents, the installation of pool and splash pad equipment includes:
  • Upgraded filters from sand filters to defenders
  • Demolition and disposal of existing pool systems, filters, pumps, etc.
  • Valves, PVC fittings, pipe and supports for new installation
  • Equipment installation and startup, commissioning and training
