According to an April 5 city press release, SafeWise.com has named Trophy Club the safest city in the state of Texas for the third year in a row.

The background: SafeWise.com, a website that contextualizes national crime and safety trends to show how they affect local communities, tabulated the safest cities using crime data from the FBI, which covered both property crimes and violent crimes, including murder, assault and burglary. According to the press release, this recognition comes as a result of the town's consistently low rates of violent and property crime, with a violent crime rate of only 0.1 incidents per 1,000 people and a property crime rate of 4.6 incidents per 1,000 people.

What they’re saying: "We are incredibly proud to see Trophy Club named the safest city in Texas,” said Patrick Arata, police chief and interim city manager. “This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our police department, town officials and community members who prioritize safety and security. We will continue to work tirelessly to maintain this honor and ensure that our town remains a safe and welcoming place for all."
