Drivers traveling on Hidden Meadow Drive in Keller will soon have to comply with a decreased speed limit.

Keller City Council approved a 25 mph limit for the residential street. The Keller Police Department received 31 signatures—97% of the homes on Hidden Meadow—advocating for this lowered cap from the present 30 mph, according to city documents.

“The residents believe the current speed limit is too high due to the width of the street, allowed parking on both sides of the street and concern for children playing in this area,” a staff memo states.

With no objections from the police department, City Council approved this proposal as part of its consent agenda with a 5-0 vote. It will go into effect Nov. 18. Mayor Pat McGrail and Council Member Chris Whatley were absent.
