Keller ISD board greenlights 10-year facilities plan

The board of trustees voted May 13 to approve a long-range facilities plan. The 10-year effort will replace and improve some of the district’s existing buildings.

The plan also includes technology, safety and security upgrades across all KISD campuses as well as improvements and renovations at schools, athletic complexes and fine arts spaces.

More than 260 KISD administrators, teachers and faculty members as well as parents and community members helped form the facilities plan.

In conjunction with the long-range facilities plan, the board also approved forming a citizens bond advisory committee to propose funding sources to pay for the projects.
