According to city of Keller documents, a special use permit is required to operate a medical spa in Old Town Keller. Owner Jessica Hunter and her business partner, Jessica Grajeda, appeared before council during its regular meeting May 20 to answer questions about the business.

Hunter said that while no major modifications will be made to the structure, most of the changes will be cosmetic. Councilman Tag Green brought up the issue of parking, which is at a premium in Old Town Keller. Grajeda said that adding six parking spots in front of their building is part of their site plan. There currently is no parking available on that lot.


Council members voted unanimously to approve the special use permit. Councilwoman Shannon Dubberly said that as a part of being a business in Old Town Keller, tenants and building owners can apply for a facade grant.

According to city documents, the facade program encourages businesses to rehabilitate, enhance and restore their building fronts in order to stimulate commercial activity by offering matching grants up to $10,000 for eligible exterior renovations.
